Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and ensure all reconciliations are completed timely.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making processes.
- Maintain and update accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
