Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Implement internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP/IRS regulations
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for corporate clients
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Houston-based firms
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and audit procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for client stakeholder management
- Proven track record in improving financial reporting processes
