Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions and perform monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and support the annual audit process.
- Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to management to support decision-making.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA exam completion preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
