Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger reconciliation and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budgets to support executive decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Streamline accounting workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in all general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the coordination of annual audits and tax filings.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
