Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and implement audit recommendations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for departmental initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
