Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and federal/state tax regulations
- Develop financial models and variance analyses for budgeting and forecasting
- Lead internal control initiatives and process improvement projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for presenting financial data to non-finance teams
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
