Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the budget preparation process and provide variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance & Audits: Coordinate with external auditors and ensure all regulatory requirements and internal controls are met.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices using modern accounting software.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
