Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations for 500+ transactions monthly
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/FASB standards
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Online and Excel automation
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel (VBA knowledge a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month-end closes
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Remote work experience in distributed teams
