Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with supporting documentation
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations and tax preparations
- Assist in budget forecasting and variance analysis for department heads
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
