Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare complex reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors for seamless compliance
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure SOX and GAAP adherence
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expertise in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Louisiana tax regulations
- Proven experience managing financial audits and compliance initiatives
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
