Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance commentary
- Manage complex month-end and year-end closing processes for diverse client portfolios
- Lead audits and tax compliance initiatives including SOX controls documentation
- Develop and implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Mentor junior staff and provide training on accounting best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and financial audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing accounting teams or mentoring staff
