Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Lead internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Active Georgia CPA license or eligibility
