Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany accounts, to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit process.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll processing and tax filings.
- Budget Management: Support the finance team in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
