Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Lead cross-functional audits and streamline financial reporting processes
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Mentor junior accountants and optimize team workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and variance analysis
- Solid understanding of multi-state tax compliance requirements
