Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Account Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial operations are compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to drive business performance.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor and process invoices and payments, maintaining healthy cash flow management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices using modern financial software.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
