Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting including AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with audit coordination
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives for multiple client portfolios
- Process complex payroll tax filings and sales tax returns
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or complex projects
- Valid California CPA license required
