Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder reporting
