Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes while optimizing cash flow management
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial reviews and tax preparations
- Implement process improvements using financial systems and automation tools
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making across departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of California state tax regulations and industry standards
