Responsibilities

- Manage general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Lead tax preparation and compliance for Illinois state filings
- Implement internal controls and process improvements
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in Illinois
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and Illinois tax codes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
