Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP and company policies.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee budgeting processes, providing variance analysis and forecasting support to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
