Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with actionable insights for stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Lead budget forecasting and variance analysis to drive strategic decisions
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks/Oracle)
- Conduct internal audits and support external audit requirements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in financial reporting, audit preparation, and compliance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
