Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and prepare supporting schedules for management review.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide analytical support to senior leadership on financial performance and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in general accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
