Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and file state and federal tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor departmental budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Streamline financial reporting processes and implement best practices for data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Candidate status preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.
