Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual tax returns and supporting schedules for federal and state taxes.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts to support business growth and financial planning.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and assist with their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis principles, tax regulations, and auditing standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
