In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining our financial health, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making. You will work closely with our CFO and department heads to streamline processes and improve profitability.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and reconciliations are performed monthly.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement automated solutions or better practices.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain knowledge of changing regulations and assist in external and internal audits.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with the finance team on budget preparation and forecasting.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in monthly payroll processing and ensure tax filings are submitted correctly.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems.
