Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and local, state, and federal reporting.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management for budget forecasting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure internal controls are in place.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
