As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, managing complex accounts, and providing strategic insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure the integrity of all financial data.
- Assist with tax preparation, federal and state compliance filings, and year-end audits.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed financial reports to management.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow management and budget planning processes.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure adherence to internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, urgent hiring environment.
