Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, month-end closing, and reconciliation
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors for seamless compliance
- Develop financial forecasts and variance reports to support executive decision-making
- Maintain financial controls and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Manage tax preparation and filing for federal, state, and local jurisdictions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven experience managing month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
