About the Role:
We are looking for an analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced setting. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including the general ledger and accounts payable/receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
- Oversee the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (Advanced Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
