Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing of all tax documentation.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and monitor variances.
- Perform variance analysis and provide detailed reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
