Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly and annual accounting close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, variance analysis, and budgets for senior leadership.
- Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite preferred), and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
