Responsibilities
- Manage complex month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Lead external audit coordination and internal control documentation
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable financial insights to leadership
- Oversee multi-state tax compliance and reporting requirements
- Develop and optimize automated accounting workflows using ERP systems
- Mentor junior accountants and cross-functional finance teams
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and evolving regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Excel VBA
- Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance and audit preparation
- Advanced analytical skills with financial modeling expertise
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations across multiple entities
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- San Francisco Bay Area residency or willingness to relocate
