Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support budgeting activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or currently pursuing CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
