Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closings and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure accurate reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Lead internal control audits and compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Supervise accounting staff and implement process improvements
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual financial reviews
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models and budgeting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory filings
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial data to stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
