Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow operations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated success in financial reporting and audit compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
