Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
