Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing for 100+ employees
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop financial models for budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA skills
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax filings
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
