Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
  • General Ledger: Manage the general ledger, ensure accurate journal entries, and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee the AP and AR functions, including processing invoices, managing vendor relations, and collecting outstanding receivables.
  • Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and implement efficient workflows.
  • Team Support: Mentor junior accounting staff and assist with external audits as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within a corporate or public accounting firm setting.
