Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business growth initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes
- Lead tax preparation and filing activities for federal and state requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects with tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
