Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor relations and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and implement controls to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget analysis.
- Prepare special financial reports and presentations for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
