Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 SMB clients using QuickBooks Online
- Conduct complex reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
- Lead tax preparation processes including federal, state, and local compliance
- Develop financial forecasting models and budgeting support for clients
- Implement internal controls and process improvements for operational efficiency
- Mentor junior accountants and provide training on accounting software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and California compliance requirements
- Proven track record in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- CPA license or actively pursuing certification
