Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support external audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
- CPA certification is a strong plus.
