Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and present financial statements to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience leading accounting projects and mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of Nebraska state tax regulations
