Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct thorough reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead audit preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and California-specific compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Experience with audit preparation and financial reporting for multi-state operations
