Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with emphasis on GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and strategic planning
- Utilize ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred) for data management and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/Sage)
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, audits, and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
- Immediate availability and local New Orleans residency required
