Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance explanations and KPI reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Coordinate external audits and maintain compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Lead process improvement initiatives for accounting workflows and systems
- Provide financial modeling and forecasting support for strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/CMA/CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public company exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 a plus)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial reporting
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience leading accounting teams or mentoring junior staff
