Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance analysis
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with federal tax regulations and SOX controls
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Develop financial models and forecasting reports
- Maintain internal controls documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
- 5+ years public accounting or corporate finance experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (advanced functions)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and DC tax regulations
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and internal audits
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a regulated environment
