Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with actionable insights
- Lead audit preparations and ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific requirements
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Maintain accurate client accounting records using QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel modeling
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and system proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred or actively pursuing
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and Louisiana state regulations
- Proven experience with month-end close, audit preparation, and financial analysis
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities to translate complex financial concepts to stakeholders
