Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows)
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Collaborate with clients on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives
- Lead tax preparation for corporate and individual clients
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage 100)
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
