Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to prepare accurate reports for stakeholders and executives
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and internal controls
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and implement process improvements for accounting efficiency
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and tax preparation
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Tucson-based candidates preferred; local industry knowledge a plus
